Underfloor heating and cooling system consisting of a flat, graphite-sintered expanded polystyrene insulating panel overlying a sheath based on SBR fibers and rubber granules, and a pipe attachment system with special tacker clips. The 32-mm-thick panel (24 mm + 8 mm), provides adequate thermal resistance when installed above heated environments (case I UNI EN 1264). Depending on the heat requirement, 18 mm or 20 mm external diameter piping may be used, with spacing of 7.5 cm to 20 cm. The insulation panel is covered with an aluminized multilayer sheathing, marked with guidelines spaced 50 mm apart, which are useful for laying the piping at the correct pitch. The panel guarantees a footfall sound pressure level attenuation evaluation index ΔLw of greater than or equal to 37 dB according to UNI EN ISO 717-2. To optimise continuity between the slabs and maintain acoustic performance, it is also possible to use silentium granulate infill. The system also includes a detachable, self-adhesive backed double perimeter strip consisting of closed-cell polyethylene foam of the appropriate height for the chosen insulation; reaction to fire (EPS insulation) Class E (EN 13501-1).

The sandwich insulation panel consists of graphite-sintered expanded polystyrene coupled with a rubber-based sheathing. The entire system, complete with pressure piping, perimeter strip and any other accessories necessary for correct installation, has been laboratory tested under the strict control of the Department of Technical Physics DFT of the University of Padua. download data sheet

Certified acoustics -37db

The entire system was laboratory tested according to UNI EN ISO 140-6 on a 20+4 cm hollow core slab under the control of the DFT Department of Technical Physics of the University of Padua. In this way it was possible, on the basis of the measured experimental values, to provide evaluation indices ΔLw and Ln,w according to UNI EN ISO 717-2 that take into account the real application and the influence of a ‘difficult’ slab such as the brick floor, which, due to its non-homogeneous constitution, is not subject to the conditions of use of the UNI EN 12364-2 soundproofing prediction formulas.
