Radiant ceiling for new residential buildings: the smart solution for indoor comfort
A two-storey villa in the province of Padua, a new construction that relies on the ingenious design of the Leonardo radiant ceiling: a system with a very low thermal inertia that guarantees climate comfort all year round, while safeguarding customers against excessive energy expenditure.
The area covered by the work is 300 square metres, where the panels of the Leonardo system were laid with 5.5 cm spacing (number indicating the pitch of the pipe in the panel). In the kitchen and bathroom the Leonardo Hydro panels were laid with moisture-resistant plasterboard.
The Leonardo piping is integrated into the plasterboard and arranged in a coil so as to maximise the exchange surface between piping and plasterboard.
As you can see in the video, a classic metal plasterboard structure has been installed and the panels are practically ready to receive plastering. An interesting aspect is the integration with air treatment for dehumidification, which is essential in the presence of a radiant system operating in cooling mode. The aeraulic system is connected to the Deuclima CMV 500 S units installed in the technical rooms (the corridor has been partially transformed into a technical area with panels and vents for controlled mechanical ventilation).
In addition to the dehumidification function, the machine is equipped with a UV lamp to sanitise the air from viruses and bacteria.
System management is entrusted to the SmartComfort 365 control unit: the control system that remotely and automatically manages the air conditioning of one or more rooms, significantly reducing waste without sacrificing comfort.
