Radiant Consortium Q-RAD

Christian Pezzei, CEO of Eurotherm, was the first incumbent chairman of Q-RAD, Italian Consortium of Manufacturers of Quality Radiant Systems that has been bringing together companies in the radiant heating and cooling sector since 2012 with the aim of fostering discussion and cooperation between companies in the same industry.

Through its stated aim of promoting, enhancing and developing awareness of the advantages of radiant systems as a tool for increasing energy saving and comfort in residential and non-residential use, the Consortium develops statistics and analyses and is responsible for distributing information regarding national and EU regulations on the subject. The Consortium also distributes technical, performance and application information with the aim of promoting the correct use of radiant systems, thanks also to the partnership agreement with the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Padua.

University of Padua

Over the years, the active collaboration between Eurotherm and the University of Padua has contributed to the development of the radiant sector in Italy. Important studies on technologies and materials are conducted within the Department of Technical Physics, as well as product certifications.

Agenzia CasaClima

The Agency CasaClima is a public structure managed and coordinated by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, it deals with the energy and environmental certification of buildings providing a value classification based  on energy consumption. To date, more than 4,900 ClimateHouse buildings have been certified and more than 900 projects nationwide are currently in the certification phase.
The Agency offers training programmes to all parties involved in construction and promotes initiatives to raise awareness of energy saving, sustainability and climate change.

As a  Casaclima Partner , Eurotherm actively contributes to the promotion of these values by developing radiant solutions for healthy and environmentally sustainable comfort.

Solar Decathlon

Eurotherm and the Free University of Bolzano jointly realised the prototype of the eco-sustainable house MED IN ITALY, which was awarded third prize at the international Solar Decathlon Europe competition in 2012. The Leonardo radiant ceiling was the heating and cooling system chosen for this project.

In 2014, the project RhOME, the wooden building for hot climates, was realised in collaboration with the University of RomaTre and ranked first. This prototype house inspired by the typical architecture of ancient Rome was combined with innovative technologies to the point of being completely self-sufficient in terms of energy.
